SUMMARY:Foundations Training Program
DESCRIPTION:The Foundations Training Program (FTP) is an 8-12-week program developed for participants new to the aviation and aerospace industry or wanting to increase their understanding of the industry. This program’s unique structure provides basic training and encourages the selection of elective courses based on learning needs.\nThe FTP consists of multiple delivery methods that may include eLearning, virtual classroom, in-person classroom or on-the-job training. The FTP is suitable for participants with or without post-secondary education. Participants will gain insight into various roles within the industry and develop foundational knowledge for a new or changing career path within aviation or aerospace.\nBenefits:\nCost savings: No cost to participants for enrollments before March 2024!\n• Wage Subsidy is available for the first 500 applicants that enroll before March 2024!\n• If the participant isn’t eligible for free courses, attendance can be done at a reduced introductory rate.\nFlexibility: All required modules and most electives are eLearning.\n• Self-paced or employer-paced learning.\n• Electives selected specific to each participant.\nWrap around support: Participants with extra financial needs may be eligible for additional support.\n• Participants can receive additional support for childcare and transportation\nEligibility\n• The program can be completed, free of charge, by new or recently hired employees.\n• Employees transitioning into a technical role.\n• Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial and federal legislation and regulations.\n• A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada.\nFor more information contact Bev Picton at bpicton@avaerocouncil.ca or visit www.avaerocouncil.ca\n
