Hannah Dollick Memorial Scholarship

The Alaska aviation community recently lost a beloved local pilot, Hannah Dollick.

Hannah was a Part 135 pilot and General Manager of a large flight school in Alaska. A passionate aviator, Hannah spent years exploring Alaska’s wilderness by air, sharing her love of flying and Alaska with others. Hannah profoundly impacted many lives and helped countless aspiring pilots further their own aviation careers.

The Hannah Dollick Memorial Scholarship aims to honor Hannah and continue her legacy by supporting self-motivated and passionate female pilots through their own flight training.

Any female who has a love of aviation may apply for this scholarship opportunity. Funds can be applied towards flight school or any educational experience related to aviation. Applicants from the state of Alaska and/or with ties to Alaskan aviation are highly encouraged to apply.

1. Can you share a specific experience or moment in your life that solidified your desire to become a pilot or work in the aviation industry?

2. Safety is paramount in aviation. How do you plan to prioritize and maintain safety in your flying practices?

3. Describe a time when you faced a significant challenge in your pursuit of aviation. How did you overcome it?

4. What personal qualities or skills do you possess that you believe will contribute to your success in aviation?

5. How do you plan to engage with, mentor, and support other aspiring aviators in your community, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds?

6. Why do you believe you are a strong candidate for this scholarship, and how will it help you achieve your aviation goals?
